Cell Service

So my cell phone is now where I can get a new one with Verizon however I decided to hold off till my contract ends up and switch over to Nextel/Sprint. They are suppose to be releasing this new phone at the end of May or beginning of June called the Motorola IC902. Pretty slick phone. It will be able to work on both the Sprint and Nextel networks. You are probably wondering why the switch? Well, unfortunatly Verizon won't give fire deparment members discount on their cell service so that is mainly the reason why. The service is just as good as Verizon and just to let you know I have never been a Cingular fan. Most of the people I know hate it.

Automatic Fire Alarms

Alot of calls we get are automatic alarms and 99% of the time they are false however, this past weekend is an example you never know when that automatic alarm is the real thing. To give you an idea (I am not going to use the place of business's name) we went to an automatic alarm at this location Saturday morning. Ended up being false like always. Well about 11:00 pm we got toned to go to the location for an automatic alarm activation. Being myself I said here it goes again another false alarm, halfway there our dispatch said that a person there said there is smoke showing. Now the adrenaline started pumping and I get there and immediately get our thermal imaging camera and go inside to investigate. They show me the room and I open the door to find the room filled with the dry chem from a fire extinguisher. Due to the thickness I couldn't enter without having breathing problems so I retreat to the truck and get an air pack on with our captain and further investigate to find some cue tips left on the stove when was probably bumped and turned on. Luckily they were able to get it put out upon our arrival.
That just shows you never know when that automatic alarm might be the real thing.

Passion 07 Pt3

Well for all of you people that went to Passion or love the Passion Worship band Part 3 of tracks from Passion 2007 was release. I just downloaded it and it is AWSOME! Check it out on Itunes.
